Once you've bought your ticket, aim to arrive at least 30 minutes early so you have time to settle down in your seat. You must show your ticket (or the QR code available via the SNCF Connect app) to the driver as well as proof of identity when you travel on any BlaBlaCar coach.

Services available on BlaBlaCar coaches

BlaBlaCar Bus tickets include useful services and facilities to make long journeys enjoyable. Onboard you'll find a comfy reclining seat so you can settle back for the duration of the journey. There's plenty of legroom so you can, for example, stretch out and have a nap. Please note, however, that you cannot book a specific seat on BlaBlaCar Bus services. Seat numbers are randomly allocated. You'll need to provide an email address when booking and your seat number will be emailed to you an hour before departure. Each seat has air conditioning for a comfy trip whatever the time of year.

What's more, BlaBlaCar Bus have the following:

• sockets and/or USB ports, so you charge devices (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
• toilets on every BlaBlaCar coach regardless of the destination.

BlaBlaCar Bus's luggage policy

When travelling on the BlaBlaCar Bus network, you can take a certain amount of luggage for free . Each passenger can take two pieces of hand baggage (small enough to be placed overhead or under your seat) as well as one piece of hold luggage which will be stored away before departure. Hold luggage can weigh up to 23 kg with a maximum circumference of 200 cm.

You can also take two additional pieces of hold luggage for €3.99 each. This can be an item of luggage that meets the hold luggage criteria above or a special luggage item. Special luggage authorised on board BlaBlaCar Bus coaches includes bikes, sports equipment and musical instruments. Prams and pushchairs can be stored in the hold free of charge.

Pets (except guide dogs and assistance animals) and electric scooters are not permitted. BlaBlaCar Bus partner transport companies may have slightly different luggage policies. If applicable, we recommend you find out what the luggage weight and dimensions are in advance.

Cancellation and rescheduling of BlaBlaCar Bus tickets

You cancel or change your BlaBlaCar Bus ticket if you can't make your journey. This option is guaranteed up to 30 minutes before your coach's scheduled departure time. You may be charged a cancellation fee depending on when you cancel:

• No fee is charged for cancellations over 30 days before departure.
• Between 30 days and 7 days before departure, the fee is 30%
• Between 7 days and 30 minutes before departure, the fee is 50%
• Less than 30 minutes before departure: ticket cannot be cancelled

Your BlaBlaCar Bus ticket will be refunded (minus the fee) as a credit note that's valid for a year. Special offer/promotional tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. 
Once you have purchased your ticket(s) online, you can change the dates and times of any journey. If the replacement ticket is less expensive than the one you originally booked, you will receive a credit note for the difference. However, if the ticket is more expensive, you'll have to pay the difference.
